Intek was founded in 1976, under the direction of Dr. Joseph Harpster, with the goal of integrating advanced technologies to solve complex measurement problems. In early 1978, a major oil company approached Intek with a flow problem. The solution led to the development of Rheotherm flow instruments: flow meters and flow switches. The Company has built a reputation for highly accurate and reliable flow measurement systems, capable of operating at low flow rates and compatible with most industrial chemicals and gases.
